Legal info
I’m self-publishing Wren under an Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license. You can read more about what that actually means here, and here’s the text of the license. If you don’t feel like clicking through, here’s my (absolutely non-legal-expert) understanding of what it means:
- You can:
- Share the contents of the story elsewhere
- Adapt/remix them as you like
- As long as you:
- Credit me for it (using my pseudonym is fine, I think)
- Indicate if changes were made
- Don’t suggest I specifically endorse your use of it
- Don’t use it for commercial purposes (AKA, don’t make money off of it)
- License your derivative works under the same license (so if you write fanfic of Wren, you have to be okay with people re-publishing your fanfic, with or without edits, so long as they credit you)
I’m not a legal scholar so there’s a decent chance I got some part of that or another wrong. Another thing I think but am not certain of, is that this doesn’t remove my ability to issue other licenses, so if you want to make a derivative work or anything and have a problem with any part of that, reach out to me at finnpinefall@gmail.com and we can try to work something out.
